A slow growing, feather footed, dual purpose breed with yellow skin.

Hens are brown and roosters are colorful.
Non-setters and excellent layers of white eggs.
Color makes them hard for predators to detect.

Chestnut red in color. Very good layer of large
brown eggs. Popular dual-purpose breed.
- SILVER LACED WYANDOTTES
— Short, deep, wide-bodied bird. Lay good sized
brown eggs. Dual-purpose bird that is hardy and
active.
- BUFF ORPINGTONS — Golden
as the sunset. Deep-meated. Layers of big, brown
eggs. Make wonderful mothers.
- BLACK AUSTRALORPS —
Black with greenish sheen. Excellent layer of brown
eggs. Very good layer even in hot weather.
Dual-purpose bird.
- BUFF ORPINGTONS —
Golden buff color, Good, popular layer of brown
eggs. A broody breed and usually good mothers.
- AMERAUCANAS —
Multi-colored birds that are excellent layers of
blue and green eggs. They can have beards, muffs, and
tailheads but not tufts.
- BLACK JERSEY GIANT — Large
black bird. Excellent bird for meat. Not a good egg
layer. They grow slower than broilers.
- DELAWARES — Docile white
bird which is more decorative than solid white
birds. Good layers of brown eggs.
